Exploring Menjangan Ijen Baluran Banyuwangi, Indonesia

Highlights

An eye-opening trip between Menjangan Island, the Ijen Crater, and Baluran. Menjangan Island is a small island located 5 miles northwest of the island of Bali and is part of the Western Bali National Park. "Menjangan" in the local language means "deer” because the island is inhabited by a herd of wild deers. To go to Menjangan Island we go through the Port of Banyuwedang in Western Bali. The Ijen Crater is an acidic crater lake at the top of Mount Ijen with a height of 2,443 meters above sea level, a lake depth of 200 meters, and a crater area reaching 5,466 hectares. The crater lake of Ijen is known to be the largest acidic water lake in the world. Ijen Crater is in the area of ??Ijen Nature Park Reserve Bondowoso and the Banyuwangi district, East Java. Every morning at around 02:00 to 04:00, around the crater can be found the phenomenon of blue fire, which is the main attraction of Ijen, because this natural scene only occurs in two places in the world in Ijen and in Iceland. From the Ijen Crater, we can see other mountain sceneries within the Ijen Mountain complex, among them is the peak of Mount Merapi in the east of Ijen Crater, Mount Raung, Mount Suket, and Mount Rante. Baluran National Park, or it’s also called as the Little Africa of Java, has several natural destinations that you can visit. Some of these include the vast savannah of Bekol, the lush green forest of Evergreen Forest, and the underwater beauty of Bama. It’s just ideal how you can visit three of these magnificent places in one trip. Don’t miss it at Menjagan Ijen Baluran Tour for the world!
